Months after parting ways with Times Group, HuffPost has appointed AmanÂ SethiÂ asÂ Editor-in-ChiefÂ ofÂ HuffPostÂ India.Â Sethi will be responsible for all editorial output onÂ HuffPostÂ IndiaÂ and oversee theÂ IndiaÂ team of editors and contributors.
Sethi will take charge from Interim Editor-in-Chief Rituparna Chatterjee onÂ April 2 2018. He will report toÂ HuffPostÂ International Director Louise Roug.
SethiÂ was previously an AssociateÂ EditorÂ withÂ Hindustan Times, prior to which he worked as the Africa Correspondent for The Hindu. His work has been publishedÂ inÂ international publications such asÂ The Guardian, Foreign PolicyÂ andÂ Granta. An award-winning journalist, his reportageÂ inÂ IndiaÂ and overseas has probed pressing issues of our time such asÂ Indiaâs Maoist insurgency, Europeâs migrant crisis and land-grabÂ inÂ Africa.Â InÂ India,Â Sethiâs work spans politics,Â communalism, education, labor unrest, and the rural economy.Â
