Bobby Ghosh, Editor-in-Chief, Hindustan Times, has decided to move on after a stint of 14 months with the English daily. The announcement was made by Shobhana Bhartia, Chairperson and Editorial Director, HT Media Ltd, in an internal communication.

Ghosh will be returning to New York for personal reasons. However, he will stay on with the company for a while until his replacement is found.

Replacing Sanjoy Narayan, Ghosh had joined HT from Quartz, where he was Editor-at-Large and Editor-in-Chief of Quartz Events.

He has spent over two decades covering international affairs, including long stints as correspondent and editor in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the US.
