Soft drink concentrate brand Rasna has awarded its creative mantle to Scarecrow Communications. The agency won the account late last year and will work on project basis.

Commenting on the win, Manish Bhatt, Founder Director, Scarecrow Communications, said, “There was no pitch for the account. I know Piruz Khambatta (Chairman & MD) for seven years now. I met him at an event organised by Ahmedabad-based agency One Advertising where he was impressed by my presentation at the event. Since then we wanted to work with each other but really could not formalise it. It is for the first time that things have fallen in place and we are finally officially working with each other.”

Previously, Curry Nation, Rediffusion Y&R used to handle the brand. DDB Mudra was Rasna's first creative agency.

Rasna is a brand owned by Ahmedabad based company Pioma Industries. Rasna was launched in mid-seventies but gained popularity only in the eighties when the market was dominated by carbonated soft drinks.
