Devendra Chawla quits Future Consumers as CEO

Devendra Chawla, Chief Executive Officer of Future Consumers, has put in his papers. His last day is July 31, 2017. Sadashiv Nayak, a member of the strategic business team at Future Group, will support this role in the interim.

Chawla had joined the company in June 2009 as CEO, Private brands, FCEL Future Group. He spent the last eight years in the company in various capacities.

Prior to joining Future Group, Chawla worked with Reliance Retail from 2006-2008 and with The Coca Cola Company from 2001-2006. Chawla started his career with Nivea as Area Sales Manager in 1995 and is armed with an experience of over 22 years.

Future Group had recently announced the appointment of Jishnu Sen as the Head of Marketing. In yet another recent development, Sandip Tarkas, an old hand at the company, announced his exit around the same time.
