LinEngage opens Delhi office; appoints Gagan Pal Singh Nagi as Head

LinEngage, the activation and experiential marketing agency of MullenLowe Lintas Group, announced the start of its Delhi (NCR) office to cater to clients in North India. It has appointed Gagan Pal Singh Nagi as VP and Business Head - North. He will head the Gurgaon office and report to Sriharsh Grandhe, Executive VP, who runs LinEngage in India.

The mandate for Nagi is two-fold: set up a team that leverages technology and data to create large format experiences that are also personalised; and tap Delhi’s consumer-tech, auto, FMCG and pharma segments to grow LinEngage’s business.

Vikas Mehta, Group CMO and President, Marketing Services, MullenLowe Lintas Group, said, “As we move into the experience-age, activation is moving from the fringes of a marketing plan to its core. LinEngage is an essential component of our marketing services offerings as we strengthen our omni-channel capabilities. Over the past few months, Sriharsh and team have made significant strides in evolving LinEngage’s service stack to reflect the needs of an experience economy. He has quietly built a client portfolio in Delhi and we’re getting great traction from clients in NCR across product categories. The Gurgaon office will help us cater to their needs even better, and help further expand our portfolio.”

Nagi joins the agency from RK Swamy (Hansa Group) where he was General Manager and Business Head - North for Hansa Events, the experiential business unit. A seasoned professional in the domain of experiential, shopper marketing and activation, Nagi has been instrumental in charting a successful trajectory for the agencies that he has worked for. Over the years, Nagi has worked with the Mudra Group and Encompass Events (now a part of WPP), where he handled brands like Samsung, Vodafone, Nestle, Yamaha, Maruti Suzuki, Piaggio among others.

Welcoming Nagi to the agency, Grandhe said, “We’re excited to have Gagan on board to drive our growth in the North region. LinEngage is focusing on strategic activations and experiential marketing leveraging digital and data. He is an old hand with a young heart. We are eager to see him get started with the fresh and innovative approach of LinEngage and expand our presence in Delhi.”

Commenting on his role at LinEngage, Nagi said, “LinEngage has a fresh approach towards experiential marketing which gives me a huge opportunity to innovate. My focus will be to grow business with interesting experiential solutions for brands using new-age technologies and help brands measure and monitor their events and activation better."

Nagi is a recipient of several awards and accolades including best performer - client retention and business development in 2014-2015 at Hansa Vision; best performer - business development in 2012-2013 at DDB Mudra Group; winner of WOW 2013 award for best promotional campaign of the year; and the youngest jury panellist for Live Quotient Awards 2013 (awards that recognize live entertainers).
