Talking about the wins, Tista Sen, National Creative Director, JWT, said, “I feel you can win a lot of awards at different festivals. But if you win an award for doing your bit for the environment, then it is really special. I also feel proud because JWT has won so many metals and not just one. I am really proud of the team.”
Tarun Rai, CEO, JWT South Asia, said, "Very proud of Senthil and team. To create compelling communication for a compelling cause and then to be recognised at such an impressive event is really gratifying. This campaign is also special because it's a fantastic combination of technology and creativity. I am sure this campaign will win many more awards. I would also like to congratulate The Hindu for the campaign and for promoting the initiative for Bengaluru."
The awards were presented across 20 categories, including the coveted title 'Green Crusader of the Year', which was presented to the charming actress Dia Mirza for her contribution towards welfare of society by associating with NGOs, in addition to her constant efforts towards the green initiative. We are extremely honoured to host yet another successful edition of the awards, and we look forward to replicating the same success in the coming years with more captivating entries that are contributing in making the world a better place to live in.”
Ramesh Narayan, Global Vice-President, IAA, said, “Olive Crown Awards are actually run as a cause. There is no entry fee and we don't have a ticketed event. It helps to bring the whole environment on top of the strategic agenda of large corporations and advertising agencies.”
Scarecrow Communications won many awards and a proud Manish Bhatt, Founder Director of Scarecrow, said, “It's a unique noble cause that IAA does. We have every year seen their activity and never participated in this. Scarecrow's young team did this and took it forward. Spykar supported the idea. It is a good feeling.'

Dabral commented, “Olive Crown Awards are the only awards that support sustainability and environment. We had a good time in judging the show. There were a couple of campaigns that were really good.”
Mehra added, “I think it is a great initiative at least in terms of getting people try and think in a manner where they can do creative things for sustainability. I thought there was a mix of some really nice work.”
Talking about the initiative Dia Mirza said, "It is an honour to receive the award for Green Crusader of the Year at Olive Crown Awards 2017. It is crucial and extremely difficult to make people realize this umbilical link we have towards the environment. We should emerge as inspirations and I believe that parenting can make the next generation take steps towards a green future. Thanks to Olive Crown and its jury our work is recognised and appreciated. I hope that the green initiative is taken forward with the next generation as well."
Suresh Balakrishna, CEO, India and South Asia of Kinetic Advertising which won four silver awards, said, “This is a unique award. There are a lot of awards in the industry that award creativity. These are the awards that awards creativity combined with a cause. Winning an Olive award is very difficult because here you have to combine a brand's message and solve a problem or raise awareness around environmental issues. Vodafone gives you freedom and they are also very committed as a client. All the awards that we won were on Vodafone.”
