Stage set for first annual Twitter awards
The global awards are aimed at recognising and rewarding brands and agencies that #GoLive best. The awards will capture work in six categories -- one gold, two silver and three bronze in each segment

Twitter is rolling out the virtual red carpet for the first annual Twitter Awards to recognise and celebrate creative work of ad clients all over the world. The current advertising landscape is thriving with various innovative, imaginative and exciting activities on the social microblogging site. The awards are an attempt to recognise the advertisers who have risen above competition over last year.
Twitter will capture the work in six categories. One gold, two silver and three bronze prizes will be handed out for each category.
The #Live award recognises the campaigns that best used Twitter to connect with people live during events, television and global moments. The #Impact award recognises the campaigns that rode its thoughtful strategies all the way to sweet ROI results.
The #Creativity award recognises the boundless creativity and shoot-for-the-moon innovation that flourishes on Twitter. The #Scale award celebrates the campaigns that generated worldwide awareness and engagement, and had major cultural impact.
The #Customer award celebrates businesses that excelled at using Twitter for customer service and made loyal friends for life by treating their customers like family. The #Growth award recognises small businesses that used Twitter ads to grow, expand and spread their wings.
Award-winners may receive a coveted award -- recognition on Twitter and/or marketing.twitter.com, Twitter Flight School as well as a special digital presence at Twitter headquarters. The panel of judges includes industry experts and executives from agencies, brands, and other known professionals from advertising.
Entries need to be submitted by September 23 and the results are scheduled to be announced on November 10. One can visit https://twitterawards.com/ for the rules.
