The Broadcast Audience Research Council India (BARC), in Week 23 (June 4 to June 10) of 2016, has stuck to its format of three sets of data for Hindi general entertainment channels.

According to the viewership data released for Urban + Rural markets, Star Plus continues to lead with 702,400 Impressions, followed by Colors at No. 2 with 684,313 Impressions. Sony Pal rose to No. 3 with 520,500 Impressions, while Zee TV also climbed the ladder to the fourth spot with 515,578 Impressions. Star Utsav slipped to No. 5 with 512,298 Impressions.

The finale of Colors' Naagin garnered a combined viewership of 16,780 in U+R markets. It was followed by Star Plus' Yeh Hai Mohabbatein with a combined viewership of 12,374 Impressions. Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya stood at No. 3 with 9,344 U+R Impressions, while Zee Anmol's Jodha Akbar followed with 8,864 Impressions. Star Plus' Saath Nibhaana Saathiya stood at No. 5 with 8,802 combined Impressions.

Top Channels in Urban Markets

Star Plus continued to lead with 477,077 Impressions, up from last week's 465,665 Impressions. Colors stood at No. 2 with 463,630 Impressions, a rise from last week's 456,104 Impressions.

Zee TV was at No. 3 with 305,495 Impressions, up from 294,059 Impressions last week.

Life Ok stood at No. 4 with 282,796 Impressions, a decline from last week's 291,474 Impressions.

Sony SAB is at No. 5 with 274,619 Impressions, a rise from 256,888 Impressions.

Sony Entertainment Television stood at No. 6 with 242,455 Impressions (last week 240,040).

Sony Pal continues to be at No. 7 with 121,853 Impressions, a fall from 128,739 Impressions last week. &TV stood at No. 8 with 120,085 Impressions, a marginal rise from last week's 119,527 Impressions.

Star Utsav continues to be at No. 9 with 101,723 Impressions (last week 114,881 Impressions). Zee Anmol is at No. 10 with 92,324, a substantial decline from last week's 99,308 Impressions.

Top Programmes in Urban Market

As per select data {HSM (Urban): NCCS All: Prime Time (1800 – 2330 hrs): 4+ Individuals}, the finale episode of Colors' Naagin remained the most viewed programme with 11,108, a substantial rise from last week's 8,055 Impressions.

Star Plus' Ye Hai Mohabbatein is at No. 2 with 8,299 Impressions (last week 7,037 Impressions).

Star Plus' Saath Nibhaana Saathiya is at No. 3 with 5,800 Impressions, a decline from last week's 6,014 Impressions.

Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya is at No. 4 with 5,653 Impressions (last week 6,011 Impressions).

Colors India's Got Talent made it to the top five programmes this week with 5,650 Impressions.

Top Channels in Rural Markets

Star Utsav continues to lead the flock in the rural market with 410,575 Impressions, down from last week's 411183 Impressions. Sony Pal stood at No. 2 with 398,647 Impressions, a rise from last week's 396,763 Impressions.

Zee Anmol stood at No. 3 with 351,200 Impressions a rise from last week's 331,471 Impressions.

Rishtey stood at No. 4 with 277,373 Impressions, a substantial rise from last week's 269,190 Impressions.

Star Plus is at No. 5 with 225,324 Impressions, a fall from last week's 245,291 Impressions.

Colors rose to No. 6 with 220,684 Impressions, a fall from last week's 229,334 Impressions. It seems that the finale of Naagin worked well for them getting them a slot higher in the rural market.

Zee TV slipped to No. 7 with 210,083 Impressions (last week 230,765 Impressions).

Big Magic rose to No. 8 with 159,400 Impressions (last week 157,099), while Life Ok slipped to No. 9 with 140,197 Impressions, a decline from last week's 168,745 Impressions.

Sony SAB stood at No. 10 with 117,571 Impressions, a rise from last week's 115,260 Impressions.

Top Programmes in Rural Markets

As per BARC India {HSM (Rural): NCCS All: Prime Time (1800 – 2330 hrs): 4+ Individuals}, witnessing an increase in viewership, Zee Anmol's Jodha Akbar continued to rule the top slot with 6,935 Impressions, compared to last week's 6,780 Impressions.

Colors' Naagin stood at No. 2 with 5,672 Impressions, a rise from last week's 5,099 Impressions.

Zee Anmol's Bandini is at No. 3 with 4,805 Impression, a decline from 5,096 Impressions last week.

Star Utsav's Saath Nibhaana Saathiya is at No. 4 with 4,503 Impressions, a substantial fall from 5,567 Impressions last week.

Zee Anmol's Meri Doli Teri Angana made it to the fifth spot with 4,348 Impressions.
