The first ever home-grown English singing show, 'The Stage', pioneered bringing English singing talent to Indian television on the Colors Infinity channel. Colors Infinity is a Viacom 18 English general entertainment channel under the flagship brand, Colors. The show has now taken on a new dimension with the first edition of 'The Stage Tour'.

The eight-city tour will see the winner and four of the top contestants from the first season, performing live for audiences across the country.The musical journey of 'The Stage Tour' flagged off on Wednesday (April 6) in Chennai and will conclude in Mumbai on April 21, with pit-stops at Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Shillong and Pune. The five most popular names on 'The Stage Tour' wagon are winner of 'The Stage' show,Yatharth Ratnum and popular Indie faces Soundarya Jayachandran, Kenishaa Francis, Anushka Shahane and RupinPahwa.

Ferzad Palia, EVP, Viacom18 and Head- Youth and English Entertainment said, “With The Stage we gave the English music talent of India a platform for the first time. Now we are taking the best of that talent across the country to eight cities to perform live. They have wooed India with their musical prowess before, and I am certain that they will receive immense appreciation this time around as well. Jayachandran recorded a single called 'I Don't Need Nobody' in collaboration with Qyuki - an initiative by film director Shekhar Kapoor and music composer A. R. Rahman, that promotes artistes, musicians and photography. Rahman himself later recommended and promoted the song on social media.

The versatile artiste, Anushka Shahaney, has signed a deal with EMI Music. The winner of the show, Yatharth Ratnum, bagged the lead role in 'Blue Mountains', a film that also won the 'Best Feature Film' award at the Asian Panorama International Film Festival. Yatharth has also lent his voice to four tracks in the film. This eclectic mix of young talent will be performing at various venues as part of the journey of 'The Stage Tour'.
