GEC Watch: Star Plus is back at No. 1

Star Plus, Colors and Zee TV witness growth in viewership in Week 4 of BARC Impressions. DD National continues to be in the top 10 list

Week 4 of BARC Impressions saw the comeback of Star Plus at the top, pushing Colors to the second position. Zee TV gained during the week while Life Ok and SAB TV saw a decline.

According to select data shared by BARC India for Week 4 for Hindi general entertainment channels (January 23 – January 29) {HSM: NCCS All : 4+ Individuals: BARC India base – All India (U+R), Impressions (000s)}, Star Plus strengthened its leadership position with 711598 Impressions, up from last week's 681755.

Colors slipped to No. 2 with 702727 Impressions compared to last week's 701098.

Zee TV retained its third position with 692249 Impressions, a substantial rise from last week's 647201.

Life OK is at No. 4 with 411480, down from last week's 427374.

SAB TV is at No. 5 with 341472, a decline from last week's 361055.

For the second consecutive week, DD National is in the top 10 list with a viewership of 339276 Impressions, up further from last week's 329478.

FTA channels

Zee Anmol is at No.1 with 665127 impressions, a rise from last week's 638381.

Star Utsav is at No. 2 with 487280, compared to last week's 437498.

Sony Pal is at No.3 with 420179, an increase from last week's 394987.

Lastly, we have Rishtey with 416858 Impressions, a substantial rise in viewership from last week's 393743.

Top 5 programmes

As per select data (HSM: NCCS All: Prime Time (1800 – 2330 hrs): Individuals: BARC India base – All India (U+R), Colors' Naagin remained the most watched show with an average viewership of 19133 compared to last week's 17199.

Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya witnessed an average Impression of 15554 (last week 14244).

Star Plus' Saath Nibhaana Saathiya is at No. 3 with a viewership of 12095 (last week 12329).

Colors' Sasural Simar Ka is at No. 4 with an Impression of 11689 (last week 13180).

Lastly, we have Zee TV's Jamai Raja with an impression of 11249 (last week11608).
