Paper Boat has touched an emotional chord again to ring in the New Year with a song of hope. A video featuring 15 founders of various start-ups, each of them offering a message of hope and optimism for the year to come, was released on December 31 2015. Conceptualised by Lowe Lintas Bangalore, and made to the rousing anthem ‘Hum Honge Kamyab’ sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, the video promises to raise the level of positivity to a new high for everyone who sees it.
The video, which was put up on Paper Boat’s social and digital platforms, is a tribute to the resilient human spirit that overcomes all odds to welcome the future with hope. The lyrics of ‘Hum Honge Kamyab’ have an uncanny sense of belonging. As kids and adults, we have never missed a beat whilst we hummed this song. And somehow the high note on ‘Ek Din’ is never missed.
This song holds a special place in many hearts and it has managed to inspire people across the country for over a hundred years in different languages. In 2015, this song struck us in the form of deep inspiration to never give up. With this faith in their hearts, Paper Boat has presented its ‘Song of Hope’ for the New Year.
The video highlights all the generous people from Team Indus, Aakar Innovations, Chai Point, MK Dabbawala, Chumbak, Saankhya Labs, Makers Asylum, Holiday IQ, AIB, Common Floor, Big Basket, INK Talks, Milaap and Teach for India who agreed to be a part of this movement.
Their ideas, inspiration, motivation and commitment towards creating a more wonderful world is always been a motivation. And because this song was never really taught and yet it has stayed with every Indian and now Paper Boat used it in a new way highlighting a ray of hope.
Sharing his views on the video, Arun Iyer, National Creative Director, Lowe Lintas, said, “Well, there was no brief nothing. The idea was to create and celebrate the power of ideas and passion that each of us has. This is not one of those traditional videos but is just in favour of positivity and optimism. It captures the spirit of the country.”
According to Iyer, the entire shoot was a challenge. “We faced a lot of challenges while shooting as everybody within the team played all kinds of roles. It was a completely organic process,” he said.
Rajesh Ramaswamy , Executive Creative Director, Lowe Lintas Bangalore, said, “When Paper Boat first told us about their desire to make this video, we were like 'wow, who thinks like this?' But then, this is Paper Boat. They've always taught us how to think from the heart. We feel special to be a part of this beautiful tribute. We partnered with Director Joyeeta Patpatia, who again thinks from the heart. Here's to a new India that thinks and dreams so beautifully.”
