TheOneShow-BLKAltogether 533 'Pencils' were given away at the recent One Show awards ceremony that concluded in New York on May 13. India bagged eight Pencils, of which one was a Gold Pencil won by Ogilvy & Mather, for its 'Make Love Not Scars' Beauty Tips by Reshma campaign in the public relations ? non-profit-brands, products and services category.

The One Show is a prestigious awards competition in advertising, design and interactive, held annually. A Gold Pencil is the ultimate symbol of creative excellence in the competition, judged by top industry professionals.

BBDO won Silver for P&G's Ariel – Share the load campaign in the public relations, consumer – brands, products and services – integrated campaign category. Out of the Box, New Delhi, won a Bronze Pencil for Mother's Pride ? 'The Prodigies of Mother's pride' campaign in the direct category.

Commenting on his agency winning a Gold Pencil, Kainaz Karmakar, ECD, Ogilvy & Mather, said, “The One Show itself is such a respected recognition. And a Gold Pencil is an even rarer win. We are very happy that our campaign for such a pertinent cause has brought home this honour. A special mention is needed for Harshik Suraiya and Geetanjali Jaiswal from our team, who have dedicated themselves to this cause at every step of the way. And for brave young Reshma of course, the face of this campaign.”

A proud Harshad Rajadhyaksha, ECD, Ogilvy & Mather, said, “This One Show Gold Pencil is such a fitting acknowledgement of the power of this campaign, which has already made its impact felt on several effectiveness awards. Through its massively successful petition drive, it has managed to put a much needed spotlight on a reality that most of our society turns its face away from. That impact on ground (Ashton Kutcher to Amitabh Bachchan to Sachin Tendulkar have noticed it and spread its message), is as much a matter of achievement and pride for us as this award is.” Harshad said he was proud to have worked with Harshik and Geetanjali who were an integral part of making this campaign.
