Rajkumar Hirani Films creates an ad film featuring Kangana Ranaut for Mebelkart.com. The ad film was launched across television and digital platforms, showing the ease of buying furniture online.

The aim of the ad is to show that one does not have to travel around to choose furniture. Instead, all one needs to do is browse through the wide range of furniture at AskMe, with the added flavour of Kangana being on the ad.

Adding more to the objective of the campaign, Rahul Agrawal, Co-founder and CEO, MebelKart, said, “There is a huge problem of service, warranty, design availability, cost effectiveness and brand absence in the furniture market, which is primarily unorganised. Our aim is to remove these hassles through technology and speed its growth by focusing on mobile sales, augmented reality-based app and the services market.”

Last year in August 2015, AskMe.com bought a majority stake in the online furniture marketplace MebelKart for $20 Million.

Kangana Ranaut has played the role of a tech-savvy new-age girl who uses technology to her advantage. She goes for a party in western clothes and changes her attire in the lift to ethnic wear once she reaches her building. When her father opens the door, she is breathless and tries to convince him that she was looking for furniture the entire day. The father asks her to take rest while he goes and get water to drink. The ad ends with the tagline 'Finger ghumao, furniture mangao'.

Karan Narvekar, Creative Director, Rajkumar Hirani Films, said, “Our interpretation of 'Ease of Buying Furniture' was quite interesting and the campaign is completely based on hassle-free shopping experience starting from search to the delivery of the product. It reflects the idea of designing every home in India at the most affordable prices with best services.”

The ad film will be showcased on television and digital platforms.
