In line with an overall philosophy of giving opportunity to talents within the organization to scale up and have an opportunity of growth, Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEEL) has announced the appointment of Akash Chawla and Deepak Rajadhyaksha for key roles in Zee TV to drive the organizations goals.

In the new structure, Chawla, in addition to his current portfolio as Business Head of Essel Vision Productions /Zee Studios for content creation on films, television and digital, will now also take charge as Business Head of Zee TV. Chawla, who was heading the Marketing function for national channels at ZEEL, was moved to Essel Vision  as Business Head in August 2014.

In his earlier broadcasting stint, Chawlahas successfully spearheaded the marketing function for the flagship and national channels like ZeeTV, Zee Cinema and Zee Classic. He has also played a pivotal role in the launch of channels like &pictures, Zee Anmol and Zindagi. All the functions of Zee TV like marketing, research and PR will align with Chawlato create new milestones.

Rajadhyaksha, who has been successfully leading the role as Business Head of Zee Marathi and has won a number of accolades for taking Zee Marathi to its current No.1 position, will now take charge as Deputy Business Head of Zee TV. The entire programming, OAP and Operations team would align and report to Rajadhyaksha, and he will report to Chawla.

They will work closely with ZEEL MD & CEO, Punit Goenka, to take Zee TV towards its leadership journey.
