SPAG Asia, an award-winning specialist communications firm for pharmaceutical, medical devices, healthcare and not-for-profit sectors, has begun operations in Singapore, to service clients across South East Asia.

SPAG Asia has appointed Julia Lai as Country Head, Singapore. She will be responsible for business development and operational capacity building. Lai has close to 20 years of experience in strategic communications. She has held senior positions in several international public relations (PR) agencies, such as H&K, Waggener Edstrom and Lewis PR.

Her background covers strategic and tactical communications, along with crisis management at the country and regional level. Lai has a proven track record in the public sector sector and has worked across a broad range of industries, covering consumer, healthcare, lifestyle, luxury, aviation, travel, beauty and fast moving consumer goods (FMCG).

Commenting on her new role, Julia Lai said, “SPAG has built an excellent client portfolio and has been recognized for its value proposition, 'Be Real', that brings together creativity, research and measurable impact to every campaign. I am very excited about bringing the same value proposition to clients in Singapore and South East Asia.”
