This April, National Geographic Channel and Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman, come together to present 'The Story of God', the actor's ultimate quest to uncover the meaning of life, God and all the questions in between. The actor who is known for playing larger than life characters (including 'God' in a number of movies), joins hands with Nat Geo to seek to understand how religion has evolved through the course of civilization and how it has shaped the evolution of society.

The series will take viewers on a trip around the world to explore different cultures and religions. India being a country of many faiths and religions, has been a strong focus in the series with large portions shot in Varanasi and Bodhgaya. The other locations include Jerusalem's Wailing Wall, Mayan temples in Guatemala and the pyramids of Egypt.
