Sony Pal, Sony Pictures Networks' free to air (FTA) channel, has become the leader in the FTA flock. On the other hand, Sony Entertainment Television (flagship channel of the network) and Sab TV (comedy channel) have both lost numbers marginally.

Considering that only one match was played by India in the on-going World T20 tournament, the Hindi general entertainment channels (GECs) have got back a significant viewership in Week 11 of 2016. However, not to be ignored that the India vs New Zealand match has ranked itself as the second most watched programme in the genre on DD National.

It is expected that the World T20 matches will again take away a large share of GEC viewership in the upcoming data for Week 12, as two of the significant India matches, India vs Pakistan and India vs Bangladesh were played during this time.

Star Plus remains at the top of the Hindi GEC flock with 714086 Impressions, a marginal increase from last week's 707636 Impressions. According to select data shared by BARC India for Week 11 for Hindi general entertainment channels (March 12 – March 18) {HSM: NCCS All: 4+ Individuals: BARC India base – All India (U+R), Impressions (000s)}, most of the GECs have maintained their ranks in Week 11.

Colors too continued to be at No. 2 with 704932 Impressions, an increase from 668653 Impressions in Week 10, courtesy a significant increase in numbers for its flagship show, Naagin which is back on the top of most watched programmes in the genre.

Zee TV is at No. 3 with a gross viewership of 646350 Impressions, rising from last week's 631579.

Life OK is at No. 4 with 487474 Impressions, a handsome rise from last week's 469661.

SAB TV is at No. 5 with a gross viewership of 390053, marginal decrease from last week's 391520 Impressions.

Sony has retained its position at no. 6, despite a decrease in numbers with 298307 Impressions, down from last week's 301805 Impressions.

FTA channels

Zee Anmol has been dethroned from the No. 1 position of FTA channels, due to drop in numbers for second consecutive week. Sony Pal is the new leader among FTA channels with 520529 Impressions, increase from last week's 518422 Impressions.

While Zee Anmol could manage 498891 Impressions, decrease from week 10's 548303 Impressions.

Star Utsav is still at No. 3, despite drop in viewership with current numbers at 492293 Impressions, a decline from last week's 509852 Impressions.
