This is a shot in the arm for Goafest 2016. McCann India has decided to participate in Goafest after a gap of two years. The agency will have token presence in all award categories and will attend Goafest in full swing this year. For the record, McCann did not participate in Goafest in 2014 and 2105.
McCann WorldGroup India shared their plans for the upcoming Goa Advertising festival.
Confirming the agencyâs presence at Goafest 2016, Prasoon Joshi, Chairman Asia Pacific & CEO, McCann India, said, "We will send symbolic token entries to honour the festival in all the categories, but our delegates will participate and attend the fest in large numbers.â
Joshi added, âWe believe that genuine efforts have been made by the organizers this year to overcome the shortcomings and we also want to partner them in this journey.Â Positively in the future we will see the festival touching newer heights.â
McCann has been the most awarded agency in India for the last three years, according to The Gunn Report,
McCann also won for India the first D&AD Gold Pencil this year. Another feather in McCann's cap came when Happydent was declared as one of the Top 20 ads done in world in this century so far (The Gunn report).
