According to informed industry sources, OLX, which had called for a review of its traditional media account recently, has decided to move the business to Maxus, a GroupM agency. The traditional media account has been with ZenithOptimedia since June 2011. The digital media mandate continues to be with ZO as it was not under review.

Senior sources in OLX, when contacted, declined to comment on the outcome of the review. All they said was that the account was under review and they were yet to come to a decision.

Besides Maxus, it is learnt that Carat, Lodestar and ZO were also in the pitch.

The media business was up for review, according to these sources, as part of a consolidation drive by the online classifieds heavyweight across multiple global markets. OLX has decided to consolidate the account across four global markets, it is learnt.

The overall media planning and buying budget is estimated to be around Rs 100 crore.
