According to a survey by CashKaro.com, Vistaprint.in and ZoomIn.com are the most preferred sites for ordering customised/ personalised gifts online

Cashback and coupons site CashKaro.com has come out with some interesting statistics based on a recent survey that brings out online shopping trends and spending habits this Raksha Bandhan. The festival sees frenzied purchase of gifts and sweets that are exchanged between brothers and sisters.
Some of the significant takeaways from the online survey conducted pan India are:
Spendings: It’s payday for sisters as brothers are willing to splurge. Close to 50 per cent of male respondents said that they are willing to spend between Rs 1,000 and Rs 5,000 on gifts as desired by their sisters. While 75 per cent of the female respondents said they would buy gifts within the range of Rs 2,000.
Gifting options: Chocolates/ Cakes/ Confectionery are the favourite gift categories amongst both brothers and sisters, followed by fashion accessories. Also, mobile phones and accessories as gifts are top ranked. Besides, 20 per cent of the male respondents said they have opted for giving cash to their sisters.
Favourite e-commerce site: Amazon and Flipkart dominate as top ranked sites for buying gifts/ rakhi online. Paytm and Snapdeal are the two other preferred sites among the respondents. 67 per cent of women prefer to buy Rakhi online this season.
Buy via website or through app?: While smartphone users are increasing and retailers are pushing their app models, the Indian online shopper prefers to enjoy shopping via websites sitting on their desktop or tablet. A 60:40 ratio is witnessed when it comes to shopping via website than on app.
Preferred mode of payment: More than 32 per cent of the total respondents said that they prefer paying by their credit card/ debit card. While plastic cards still rule, digital wallets like Paytm are fast becoming the preferred choice – 30 per cent men and 26 per cent women have opted for the e-wallet gateway. The survey also reveals ‘Cash on Delivery’ as a favourite payment option for 28 per cent of women.

The CashKaro.com survey involved 1,000 respondents. More than 50 per cent of the respondents were in the 18-24 age group and primarily from Delhi NCR, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
