GEC Watch: Star Plus adds maximum viewers in Week 27

Colors and Life OK also register growth while Zee TV remains stable. Sony witnesses further decline in its viewership but stays at No. 5

Star Plus added maximum viewers to cross 400-mn mark in Week 27 of BARC ratings. Colors and Life OK too registered marginal growth in their viewership while Zee TV retained its last week's viewership.  Sony Entertainment Television witnessed further decline in its viewership but stays at No. 5.

According to select data made available by BARC for Week 27 (July 4 – July 10) for HSM, 1L+ Individuals, Star Plus widened its lead margin over Colors by registering maximum growth among top 5 Hindi general entertainment channels. Zee TV, Life OK and Sony stayed at No. 3, No. 4 and 5 respectively.

Star Plus recovered its loss in last week's viewership and added 28 million to its gross viewership this week. The channel recorded gross viewership of 417 million (last week 389 million).

Colors too added more viewership this week and recorded a gross rating of 365 million (last week 358 million).

Zee TV was stable at a gross rating of 285 million this week (last week 285 million).

Life OK too grew marginally this week and recorded a gross rating of 239 million (last week 233 million).

Sony Entertainment Television suffered further loss in viewership this week but held No. 5 position with a gross rating of 178 million (last week 204 million).
