Week 29 of the BARC ratings have witnessed one change with Sab TV climbing into the top 5 at the expense of Sony Entertainment Television with a gross rating of 199 million. Sony had recorded a gross rating of 164 million in Week 28.

According to select data made available by BARC for Week 29 (July 18 – July 24) for HSM, 1L+ Individuals, Star Plus continues at the top spot, garnering gross rating of 404 million, as opposed to 380 million last week (Week 28).

Colors, which had seen a steep fall in its viewership last week (315 million), garnered a gross rating of 383 million in Week 29, an increase in viewership by 50 points.

Zee TV regained the third spot with a gross rating of 262 million (last week - 255 million).

Life OK was placed fourth with a gross rating of 238 million (last week - 233 million).

Sab TV climbed up to the fifth spot with a gross rating of 199 million. This stupendous rise could be largely attributed to its premiere show, 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', which completed seven years.

However, despite completing seven years, 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' didn't quite make it to the top five shows of the week.

Star Plus' 'Saath Nibhana Saathiya' regained the top spot with an average viewership of 6.4 million. Zee TV's 'Kumkum Bhagya', that was No.1 last week, slid to the second spot with average viewership of 5.5 million.

Star Plus' 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' entered the top five, taking the third spot with average viewership of 5.3 million.

Two of Colors' shows – 'Sasural Simar Ka' and 'Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi' took the fourth and fifth spots with average viewership of 5.2 million and 5 million, respectively.
