Colors loses maximum viewership, followed by Star Plus, Zee TV, Sony and Life OK. However, there was no change in the pecking order

The India-Zimbabwe ODI series, including two ODIs and a T20, during Week 28 caused significant loss in viewership of the top 5 Hindi general entertainment channels. Colors lost maximum viewership, followed by Star Plus, Zee TV, Sony and Life OK. However, there was no change in the pecking order.
According to select data made available by BARC for Week 28 (July 11 – July 17) for HSM, 1L+ Individuals, Star Plus recorded a gross rating of 380 million for Week 28 (last week 417 million).
Colors’ viewership dropped by 50 million and its gross rating stood at 315 million (last week 365 million).
Zee TV retained its third place with gross rating of 255 million, as opposed to the 285 million the last week.
Life OK fetched gross rating of 233 million, dropping just 6 million from last week.
Sony TV lost viewership by 14 million and recorded a gross rating of 164 million this week (last week 164).
Among the top 5 shows, Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ was at No. 1 with an average viewership of 5.6 million. Star Plus’ ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ too averaged at 5.6 million, but fell by few points to ‘Kumkum Bhagya’.
‘Sasural Simar Ka’ and ‘Chakravartin Ashok Samrat’ on Colors, took the third and fourth spot with an average viewership of 4.2 million, and 3.9 million, respectively.
Zee TV’s dance reality show, ‘Dance India Dance’, was the fifth ranked show of the week with 3.8 million average viewership.
