Vineet-Bajpai--talentrack

Founder of Magnon, one of India's largest digital agencies, and the ex-CEO of TBWA India Group, Vineet Bajpai, today announced his new venture talentrack.

Talentrack is a pioneering hiring-platform for all genres of media, entertainment, creative and art talent. It is a mobile plus web model that caters to actors, models, singers, dancers, bands, DJs, photographers, stylists and artistes of a vast spectrum of categories. The platform comprises a sophisticated mobile-app that talents can install and use to build, manage and promote their portfolios. The app allows them to get accessed by thousands of industry recruiters and get job-offers in real-time. Talentrack also has a strong web presence in the form of perhaps the largest web portal and aggregator of the Indian media, entertainment, creative and art industries – www.talentrack.in.

Speaking at the launch, the Founder and CEO of talentrack, Bajpai, said, “India is the largest film industry and the third largest television industry in the world. It has a vibrant music sector, art and publishing industries and many more creative domains that are purely talent-driven. And yet, in such a vast and growing talent-dependent market – there is no online talent aggregator. This is a huge gap and a huge opportunity. Talentrack envisions filling this gap.”

Even during its pre-launch stage, talentrack has won wide appreciation in the media and entertainment industry. It won the 'Best Talent Platform for Media & Entertainment Award' at the 8th Global Film Festival held at the Noida Film City on November 18-20, 2015. Talking about this recognition Bajpai said, “We are deeply honoured to have received this award, and it is a vindication of our deep conviction in the talentrack model. Just the way job portals revolutionized hiring in the corporate sector, talentrack will bridge the yawning gap between millions of artistes and recruiters. Talentrack aims to help not only artistes and employers, but also intermediaries like casting directors and agents, producers, coordinators, modeling agencies, event companies and more.”

Talentrack has raised its first round of funding from Unigrowth, a Canada-based early-stage investment fund. Speaking on Unigrowth's investment into talentrack, Nishish Jha, the Chairman of Unigrowth, said, “For us, this was a no-brainer. In today's clutter of start-ups it is rare to find an entrepreneur of Vineet's stature and proven track record. Moreover, we truly believe that the  $US 30 billion Indian media and entertainment sector needs a credible talent and industry aggregator.”

Speaking at the occasion, Manishi Singh, the technology lead and co-founder of talentrack, said, “We are building a product that is world-class, and will function seamlessly across mobile and web platforms. The talentrack mobile-app plus portal model is a first-of-its-kind, and talents as well as recruiters will find this intuitive framework very useful”.

Talentrack, currently has offices in Delhi and Mumbai, with a start-up team of 40 professionals, over 18,000 talents registered and 1,45,000 followers on Facebook. The company plans to scale-up rapidly over the next 12-18 months.
