Times Internet owned Cricbuzz launched a new campaign during the India SA Freedom Series on November 5, with the first commercial to be on air till December 7, 2015. The brand is likely to come up with newer commercials as the cricket season progresses till the T20 World cup next year.

The theme of the commercial is an extension of 'Cricket ka Keeda' series launched earlier this year, with fresher and funnier takes on what happens when the 'cricket ka keeda' bites people. The new campaign titled 'Muh Dikhai' showcases a situation where a cricket crazy would-be groom is visiting his prospective wife with his family. The situation becomes hilarious when the 'Cricket Ka Keeda' bites people.

The campaign has been conceptualised and developed by the in-house marketing team. Through this campaign, the company plans to target the net savvy, smartphone using, working professionals  or students and everyone who loves cricket and likes to be updated on cricket scores, their favourite cricketers, upcoming matches and everything around it.

Cricbuzz.com had launched its first campaign titled 'Cricket Ka Keeda' in January 2015. The campaign intended to touch all cricket lovers across the country with funny depictions of what happens when the cricket bug bites people.

The new campaign consists of three films titled 'Muh Dikhai', 'Airport' and 'Shopping Mall' which showcase situations where a cricket-crazy protagonist gets immersed in the world of cricket.

“With Cricket in the air and India having a long season before the 2016 T20 World Cup, this is a great time to create a recall about the brand with a funny and laugh-inducing campaign that touches all cricket lovers. Cricket creates such passion among its followers that they get immersed in that world and forget everything else,” said Pratik Mazumder, Vice President and Head Marketing, Times Internet.

He added, “We will keep bringing out new commercials as the cricket season progresses, till the T20 World cup in 2016”.
