FCB Ulka, a top 5 agency in India with a heritage of 50+ years, has roped in Satbir Singh as its Chief Creative Officer. He moves from Havas Worldwide India where he was Managing Partner and CCO. Singh moves into the slot left open following the departure of KS Chakravarthy 'Chax' who resigned sometime back as National Creative Director.

Singh will be relocating to Mumbai as part of his new role, which is set to begin in February 2015.

Singh has journeyed 20 years in diverse and noteworthy agencies such as Grey, Leo Burnett and Ogilvy, besides his nine-year stint with Havas WW. He had joined Havas in 2005 when it was known as Euro RSCG, as Executive Creative Director of the Delhi branch. Prior to which he was Creative Director at Ogilvy & Mather for five years (2000-2005).  From 1998-2000, Singh was Associate Creative Director at Leo Burnett.

Over the years, he has worked on memorable brands across categories like Daewoo Automobiles, Volvo, LML, Panasonic, Voltas, LG, Reckitt Benckiser, among others, and has lead and authored memorable and award winning campaigns like Incredible India! for India Tourism and Bajate Raho for Red FM.

Singh has won accolades and awards at all important national and international forums including Cannes, One Show and D&AD. He is a blogger and twitterati of repute and was named amongst India's 100 most digitally influential people last year.

Singh said, "It feels fabulous to be back at a time when the country is at its buzziest. The PM has spoken of smart cities and clearly it's time for smart, digitally savvy large agencies to create work that speaks to people in their preferred medium, whether it's a 30" screen or a 4" one. FCB Ulka has been amongst India's top agencies for decades and has the size, an enviable client list and the relationships to do exactly that."

Nagesh Alai, Chairman, FCB Ulka Group, said, “Satbir Singh will be a right fit and a great addition to FCB Ulka's existing strong leadership team as the organization embarks on a renewed drive to memorable and path breaking creative that will continue to build brands for its clients in the dynamic digital age.”
