Kunal Jeswani promoted to CEO, Hephzibah Pathak will be Global Clients’ Director, and Kawal Shoor elevated as National Planning Director

Ogilvy & Mather India has announced announced a new management structure for the company, which will be effective from March 1, 2015. Kunal Jeswani has been promoted to CEO, while Hephzibah Pathak will be the Global Clients’ Director. Kawal Shoor has been elevated as National Planning Director, while Hufrish Birdy is promoted to CFO of the company.
Commenting on the development through a joint official statement, Piyush Pandey, Executive Chairman and Creative Director – South Asia and S N Rane, Executive Co-Chairman and Group Chief Operating Officer – South Asia, said, “It is time that our very strong senior team joins us in all key management decisions of Ogilvy & Mather. Our clients should look forward to even greater impact from Ogilvy & Mather in the days ahead.”
Jeswani has been promoted to CEO, Ogilvy & Mather India from his role as Chief Digital Officer of the Ogilvy India group companies. He will retain the current responsibility with his new role. Jeswani is a post-graduate in communications from MICA, Ahmedabad, and started his career in advertising around two decades ago. He joined Ogilvy in 2005 as Vice President Client Servicing and has many outstanding successes to his credit which include heading OgilvyOne Worldwide with the responsibility of managing Ogilvy’s digital business in India.
Jeswani will report directly to the Chairmen’s office and will work in very close association with Geo/Discipline heads, Creative, Planning and business leaders.
Hufrish Birdy, set to be promoted to CFO, Ogilvy & Mather India is currently the Executive Finance Director - Ogilvy India. A Chartered Accountant, she started her career in a manufacturing company around 22 years ago. Birdy joined Ogilvy in 1995 as a Senior Finance Executive. Birdy will also report directly to the Chairmen’s office and work in close partnership with Jeswani.
Hephzibah Pathak will assume a new role as Global Clients’ Director, Ogilvy & Mather India. In her new role, she will be associated with Vodafone, Mondelez (India+Global), KFC, Unilever, Coke and Fiat. Hephzibah, working with operation heads of 360 degree offerings, and will be responsible for delivery that will meet client expectations. She was appointed as President for Ogilvy Mumbai in 2008.
Kawal Shoor has been promoted to National Planning Director of Ogilvy & Mather India. As the head of planning division, he has built strong planning teams, led the agency’s effectiveness agenda, and is providing strategic counsel to a number of clients like Cadbury, Tata Sky, ITC and Ceat to name a few. Shoor will spearhead the next phase of development of planning and be responsible for the national planning agenda.
Moreover, Kunal Jeswani, Rajiv Rao (National Creative Director), Navin Talreja (President - Mumbai and Kolkata Geography Head) and Hufrish Birdy will be on the India board of directors for Ogilvy & Mather.
The existing India Board comprises Piyush Pandey, SN Rane, Madhukar Sabnavis, Poran Malani, Hephzibah Pathak, Miles Young, Paul Heath, Paul Cocks and John Goodman. The company has nominated the new members on the board as additional Directors which will be effective as soon as the legal compliances are completed.
