GEC Watch: Colors further consolidates lead 

Colors' viewership crossed the 400-million mark in Week 37, even as the top order among Hindi GECs remained unchanged. Among the shows, 'Sasural Simar Kar' rose to the No. 1 spot

Having regained the top spot in Week 36 with a gross viewership of 387 million, Colors consolidated its top position in Week 37 (September 12-Septemebr 18) of BARC ratings.

According to select data (HSM : NCCS All : Individuals : BARC India base - C&S 1Lac+), Colors gained a lead of 34 million (viewership) over Star Plus, garnering a gross viewership of 415 million.

Star Plus saw an increase in gross viewership over last week at 381 million (371 million in Week 36), but remained in second position.

Zee TV, which had secured a gross viewership of 263 million in Week 36, saw a dip in viewership this week at 257 million, but remained unchallenged at the third spot.

Life OK (208 million in Week 36) held on to its fourth spot with a gross viewership of 222 million.

SAB TV, which not too long ago was on the verge of overtaking Life OK. Registered a gross viewership of 184 million this week compared to 177 million in Week 36.

Top 5 shows on Hindi GECs

As far as the top five programmes on Hindi GECs are concerned, there was a new leader with Colors' show 'Sasural Simar Ka' climbing up to the No. 1 spot with a viewership of 6,819 (ratings in sum of 000s).

Star Plus' 'Saat Nibhana Saathiya' rose to the second spot with a viewership of 6,644 (ratings in sum of 000s).

Table topper for several weeks, Zee TV's 'Kumkum Bhagya' dropped to the third position with a viewership of 6,185 (ratings in sum of 000s).

Colors' show 'Udaan' was placed fourth with a viewership of 5,680 (ratings in sum of 000s), followed closely by 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' on Star Plus, which garnered a viewership of 5,602 (ratings in sum of 000s).
