dd free dishPrasar Bharati will conduct the 22nd e-auction for its free direct-to-home platform, DD Free Dish, on September 22, 2015 to fill up the vacant slots.

The terms and conditions for the 22nd auction are similar to the one held before. Noida-based C1 India has once again been entrusted with the task to conduct the e-auction.

The base price per DTH slot has yet again been kept at Rs 3.7 crore per slot.

The incremental amount will be Rs 1 million with every auction set for 15-minute duration. An additional 5 minutes will be added if the bid is received before the closing time of each e-auction. The next round will be held 10 minutes after the previous round.

The successful channels will be required to arrange their own IRD box in advance to place their channel on the DD Free Dish platform on time.

The EMD drafts will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders within a week or immediately after the e-auction is over.

Successful bidders are required to deposit Rs 1.10 crore as reserve price after one month of placement of channel on DD Free Dish. The balance amount of the total reserve price of Rs 3.7 crore has to be deposited by the successful channel after two months from the placement of the channel along with service tax of 14 per cent on the total bid amount.

The balance bid amount will have to be deposited on or before six months from placement of the channel on DD Free Dish, failing which the reserve price of Rs 3.7 crore will be forfeited and the channel will be discontinued from DD Free Dish.

The participation amount has been pegged at Rs 1.50 crore. Prasar Bharati will be levying Rs 10,000 as processing fees.

The last date for submission of application is 12 noon on September 22.
