Sanjeev Srivastava has moved on from Focus TV after two years where he was Group Editor. Announccing this on Twitter yesterday, Srivastava wrote: “I am quitting @FocusNewsIndia as Group Editor. Grateful thanks to all colleagues & viewers for the love, affection and cooperation extended.”

The news network promoted by steel baron Naveen Jindal has brought Shailesh Kumar back to its fold to replace Srivastava.

It may be recalled that Shailesh Kumar recently had a four-month stint as Managing Editor with the network where he was responsible for managing its regional channels. Kumar had joined Focus TV in December 2014 from News Nation where he was CEO and Editor-in-Chief.

With an experience of over three decades, Kumar had stints with Aaj Tak, The Times of India, Navbharat Times, Discovery and Zee News.

Srivastava was the India editor of BBC Hindi service, including internet and radio, from 2006, having previously been a correspondent for the BBC. He started the BBC's first Mumbai Bureau reporting across BBC television and radio services in English, Hindi and Urdu. Before joining the BBC, he worked with The Times of India and Indian Express.
