The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has released the list of permanent and provisional MSOs (Multi-System Operators) in the country as on August 14, 2015.

As per data released by MIB, as of August 14, 2015, there are 126 MSOs that have been granted provisional registrations by the Ministry to operate in Digital Addressable System. Thirty-three new MSOs have been given provisional registrations compared to 93 MSOs in the previous list.

The 33 new MSOs (state wise) are follows:

Uttar Pradesh:

State of Andhra Pradesh and/or Telangana:

YS Digital Networks (AP & Telangana)

Sanny Digital Communications (Telangana, AP)

Sri Ayyappa Swamy Siti Cable Network (AP)

Sunny Digital Home Entertainment (Entire Telangana and AP)

Devi Cable TV Network (Telangana)

Shri Digital Network (AP, Telangana)

As per the data released by MIB, there are 227 MSOs in the country that have been granted permanent registrations by the Ministry to operate in digital addressable areas. Compared to the previous list, that was released on July 22, 2015, there is an addition of just one MSO in the list of MSOs granted permanent registration – Coimbatore-based Valarr Gokulam. The MSO will operate in Coimbatore, Nilgiri and Tiruppur in Tamil Nadu.
