Motorola's iconic batwing logo has turned 60. In India, the company is celebrating this special 60th anniversary by running a #MyMotoLogo contest across its social channels, wherein participants create their own version of the Motorola logo.

The Motorola batwing logo was introduced on June 19, 1955. The mark was designed by Morton Goldsholl Design Associates in Chicago and was revealed via a Motorola showroom in Chicago's Merchandise Mart during a home furnishings show. The two aspiring triangles peak arching into an abstracted 'M' form the basis of the iconic mark.

In its history, the batwing has gone through a few makeovers, but continues to stand for innovation and quality. Today, it remains present on all Motorola devices, packaging and key materials.

Fans and enthusiasts can participate in the #MyMotoLogo contest by going to the microsite and sharing their creation using the hashtag #MyMotoLogo. Participants are required to doodle their own Moto logo and a special jury of four art influencers will help participants to create their final versions of the iconic batwing logo. The logos submitted will be evaluated on the basis of creativity and design innovation. Six winners will get a chance to win a Moto X each with their very own customised #mymotologo on it.
