BARC India is set to release the second week of data today, as per schedule. As reported earlier by BestMediaInfo.com, the new audience measurement system seems to have worked out a solution with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting regarding the registration formalities, according to informed sources.

Earlier, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) had sent a letter “requesting” BARC to not release data till it completes its registration formalities creating a flurry of activity amongst the key stakeholders at BARC to rectify the situation. At that time, Punit Goenka, Chairman of BARC and MD & CEO – Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, had said that BARC "will not contravene any guidelines issued by the Government.”
