Digital agency, Frog Walks Out, created the app ‘Happy-Go Lucky’ which was played by over 6,000 people

Digital agency Frog Walks Out has launched a Facebook application for AirAsiaGo, one of the fastest growing online travel portals in Asia, to boost sales on the portal. The agency started with revamping AirAsiaGo’s Facebook page as the entire idea was to make it fun and engage the potential customers at the same time.
Then the agency’s team of programmers and digital strategists made a quirky Facebook slot machine. The slot machine titled ‘Happy-Go-Lucky’ worked similar to a real life slot machine, but with a twist. The challenge here was to play the slot machine and hit the right combination of flight, hotel and activity. To make this application more engaging, the slot machine throws in comments to keep the user clicking on the lever until he gets the combination right. On getting it right, the user gets a chance to be part of the lucky draw.
Kapil Dhawan, CEO, Frog Walks Out, said, “AirAsiaGo mandated us to increase traffic on their portal and create engagement on their new Facebook page. It had to also capture and showcase the several features offered by the main portal. After a series of brainstorming sessions, we decided, the best way to do it is through a quirky quiz.”
The campaign was online for around two weeks and the game was played by over 6,000 people. Fourteen winners got hotel stay discount vouchers from AirAsiaGo and the grand winner will get a holiday stay in Goa, Jaipur or Kuala Lumpur based on the individual’s choice.
