Cadbury India leads with 9 shortlists, followed by Coca-Cola with 7, and Close Up with 6

goafest-2014The shortlist for the Media Abbys at Goafest 2014 was announced by The Ad Club yesterday evening. Cadbury India has secured the maximum nine shortlists, followed by Coca-Cola India with seven nominations and Close Up with six. All the shortlisted entries will now have to send a 45-second edit of their AVs by May 18, 2014.

The different categories of Media Abby Awards are: Best Use of TV, Cinema, Newspapers and Magazines; Outdoor, Ambient Media, Experiential including large events, special events and stunts; Radio; Sponsorship; Branded Content; Digital Search, Social Media, Digital Display Advertising, Digital Content Creation Strategy, Digital as a medium, Mobile media, Integrated campaign, Youth Marketing, Pro Bono marketing and South Asia categories.

This year there will be a single Media Abby Grand Prix Award across all categories. This will go to the best among all the Gold winners. Ravi Rao, Leader, South Asia, Mindshare, is the Chairman of the Media Abby Awards this year. He replaces Ashish Bhasin, Chairman & Chief Executive, South Asia, Dentsu Aegis Network, who headed the awards last year.

Goa Fest 2014 will be hosted from May 29 to 31 at The Grand Hyatt, North Bambolim. The theme for this year is ‘Brand Baaja Bharat’.
