Amar Ujala has expanded its footprint in Haryana with the launch of its 19th edition from Rohtak today that will cover 11 districts in the state – Rohtak, Hisar, Sonepat, Panipat, Rewari, Bhiwani, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Mahendragarh, Jind, Jhajjar-Bahadurgarh. Prior to this edition, Amar Ujala was catering to the Haryana market with its Chandigarh and Noida editions.
The new edition hit the stands today with a cover price of Rs 3 and a print run of 1.75 lakh. Every district will have its own city edition by way of a six-page supplement along with the newspaper.
Virender Pathania, VP – Sales, Promotion & Market Development, Amar Ujala Publications, said, “We did an extensive consumer campaign and booked 1.75 lakh copies across 11 districts. We got a very encouraging response from consumers as well as advertisers for this edition.”
Initially, the edition will target local and retail advertisers and the inventories will be used by national advertisers going forward. “For our inaugural editions, we got sufficient inventories booked by advertisers from Haryana as well as a few national advertisers,” added Pathania.
To promote the new edition, Amar Ujala launched a series of teaser campaigns followed by the launch campaign using outdoor sites across Haryana as well as BTL activations. The campaign was supported by Amar Ujala’s own newspaper across Haryana and Punjab.
