Star Plus added maximum viewership in Week 41 of TAM 2014 on the back of a sharp growth in weekday primetime and Satyamev Jayate. SAB and Sony too added more viewers this week. However, there was no change in the pecking order this week.

According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 41 of TAM 2014 (October 5 – October 11) for CS 4+, HSM markets, while Star Plus strengthened its leadership position, Colors was at No. 2 followed by Zee TV at No. 3. Life OK, SAB TV and Sony were at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.

Star Plus added maximum 49 TVMs this week and recorded a viewership of 598 GTVM with a relative share of 26.03% (last week 549 GTVM and 24.81% of relative share).

Colors retained its No. 2 position with a gross viewership of 432 GTVM with a relative share of 18.81% (last week 433 GTVM and 19.57% of relative share).

At No. 3, Zee TV recorded a gross viewership of 413 GTVM with 17.98% relative share (last week 401 GTVM and 18.12% relative share).

Life OK too witnessed a marginal decline in ratings this week. It recorded 292 GTVM and a relative share of 12.71% (last week 299 GTVM and 13.51% of relative share).

SAB TV was at No. 5 position with a gross viewership of 273 GTVM. The channel had a relative share of 11.89% (last week 254 TVM and 11.48% of relative share).

Sony grew to 245 GTVM with a relative share of 10.67% (last week 234 GTVM and 10.57% of relative share).

Sony Pal fetched 24 GTVM with a relative share of 1.04% (last week 23 GTVM).

Zindagi stayed at 20 GTVM with a relative share of 0.87% (last week 20 GTVM).

Top Shows:

While Star Plus retained the top slot with 'Diya Aur Baati Hum', the channel dominated weekday programming with four shows in the top 10. Its weekday primetime improved by 9% after last week's festivities related drop. Zee TV had three shows in the top 10 followed by Colors with two shows and SAB TV with one show.

Among the new shows launched in Week 41, Satyamev Jayate Season 3 on Star Plus opened at 4.9 TVM in HSM and 7 TVM in All India markets. Zee TV's new non-fiction show 'Dil Se Naache Indiwaale' launched at 2.7 TVM.

Life OK also launched two shows this week. Its weekday fiction show 'Ajeeb Daastan Hai' opened at an average viewership of 1.3 TVM while its comedy show, 'Comedy Classes', opened at 2.0 TVM.

'Bigg Boss Season 8' on Colors grew in its third week and fetched an average viewership of 4.4 TVM against last week's average of 3.9 TVM.

Weekday toppers (all data in TVM, 000000's)

Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum retained the top slot recording an average viewership of 8.5 TVM this week (last week 7.8 TVM).

Star Plus' Sathiya Saath Nibhana climbed one position to No. 2. The show fetched an average viewership of 7.9 TVM (last week 7.1 TVM).

Zee TV's Jodha Akbar slipped to No. 3 position fetching an average viewership of 7.7 TVM (last week 7.2 TVM).

Ye Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus continued to perform well in the 7.30 PM slot. The show recorded 7.4 TVM this week (last week 6.5 TVM).

Kumkum Bhagya on Zee TV slipped one position to No. 5 with an average viewership of 7 TVM (last week 6.5 TVM).

Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai climbed one position to No. 6 this week. The show recorded an average viewership of 6.6 TVM (last week 5.9 TVM).

Jamai Raja on Zee TV slipped one position to No. 7. The show garnered an average viewership of 6.2 TVM (last week 6 TVM).

Colors' Sasural Simar Ka was at No. 8 with an average viewership of 5.8 TVM (last week 5.9 TVM).

Tarak Mehta on SAB TV held No. 9 position with an average viewership of 5.8 TVM against last week's 5.1 TVM.

Udaan on Colors remained in top-10 club with an average viewership of 5.5 TVM (last week 5.1 TVM).

Weekend toppers  

Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors retained the top position among weekend shows. The show fetched an average viewership of 6.2 TVM (last week 5.1 TVM).

Satyamev Jayate Season 3 opened in Week 41 at 4.9 TVM.

Dil Se Naache Indiwaale on Zee TV launched at an average viewership of 2.7 TVM.

Zee TV's Neeli Chhatri Wale held its viewership at 2.7 TVM (last week 2.8 TVM).

Star Plus' weekend singing reality show, India's Raw Star, fetched 2.6 TVM (last week 2 TVM).

Sony's crime series, Crime Patrol, fetched 2.6 TVM against last week's 2.9 TVM.

Airlines on Star Plus fetched 1.9 TVM (last week 1.4).

Shapath on Life Ok was at 1.6 TVM (last week 1.7).

Life OK's Dare to Dance stable was at 1.5 TVM.
