The 'Baap' of all reality shows with nearly 100 million viewers in its last season, MTV Hero Roadies is back with a fresh season X1 – 'Ride for Respect'. The show, in its 11th year, will be all about performances – no vote-outs, no playing favourites, but a whole lot of drama based purely on performance. With new locations and extreme tasks, the show is all set to hit television screens on Saturday, January 25, 2014, 7 PM.

Leading them in this journey is the epitome of sportsman spirit and MTV Roadies Season 1 winner, Rannvijay Singh, and the original bad boy of Indian television, Raghu Ram.

Every year, Roadies has evoked fierce emotions, be it the contestants outdoing each other, adrenaline rush to perform tasks, neck and neck competition, desperate attempts to emerge as a winner and a friend's tearful exit. For the first time ever, MTV Hero Roadies in its X-series will chant a new mantra for the 14 contestants: 'No Vote Outs, Only Performance can get you to Win'.

Touted as the most difficult auditions for any reality series, it's testing, volatile, nerve-wrecking, yet fulfilling, catch the seven girls and seven boys battle it out to be the next Roadie.

Aditya Swamy, EVP and Business Head, MTV India, said, “This year on Roadies, we have seven boys and seven girls and they will have an absolutely equal chance in the 'Ride for Respect'. Fresh twists in the format have made Roadies India's longest running reality show and this year's format breaker ensures survival only of the fittest. In addition to the high impact promotions across our network and the internet, this year we reach out to over 100 new power towns and over 200 first time colleges to make Roadies X1 the biggest season the franchise has seen”.

Rannvijay Singh, mentor, host and a Roadie himself, commented, “Roadies is one show which is extremely close to my heart. I am glad I was part of the show for the last 10 years and I am thrilled to be part of its 11th season as well. This time there will be no vote-outs and eliminations will be purely on the basis of performance – a first for the show. The season will be full of thrill, adrenaline and glory!”

Raghu Ram, the producer of the show, said, “The show has made adventure and bikes a household name in India. Ten years have seen over 5 million hopefuls, gruelling auditions, tough tasks and deserving winners. What has kept the show going is the love of the audience and the sheer belief that the show is a life changer for many. With an all new season, MTV Hero Roadies X1 is all geared up to introduce an absolutely new avatar to everyone. What I can promise is you a triple dose of thrill, action and a lot more drama.”

Anil Dua, Sr. VP (Marketing & Sales), Hero MotoCorp, said, “Hero MotoCorp is a young brand and connects with the youth through the platforms of music, entertainment sports, adventure and the like. Hero has also been known for promoting young talent across these disciplines by offering opportunities to showcase their latent qualities. MTV Hero Roadies is one such powerful platform with which Hero has been associated since its inception more than a decade ago. Over the years, our association has only got stronger. I am sure all the 14 contestants this year are going to have a lot of fun, excitement and adventure on the Hero Impulse bikes as they embark on this memorable journey of 'Ride for Respect'. Our best wishes are with all the contestants."

'Ride for Respect' will see the contestants travel desert to desert from Sun City Jodhpur to the white salt marsh of the Rann of Kutch.

Each season of MTV Hero Roadies has witnessed a steady rise in its popularity and fan-following. While last season received nearly 100 million views on TV and over 65 million online, the phenomena is expected to surpass its predecessors in no time. Social media websites have also been buzzing with the rage that Roadies has created over the years with MTV receiving 7.7 million likes on their official Facebook page. With 20 million unique visitors on their website, it is also the most subscribed show on YouTube in India.
