Radhakrishnan Nair has been elevated as Managing Editor of CNN-IBN following the exit of Vinay Tewari from the channel. In January this year, Tewari, who was Managing Editor of CNN-IBN, was given additional charge of IBN 7 with the departure of Ashutosh who quit the channel to join the AAP.

Nair has been in journalism for 25 years, starting his career with UNI in Kerala and then moving to Delhi. He has covered everything from politics to elections to sports to defence. His TV journey began in 1995. He has produced programmes for DD, BBC and Sony, and Asia's first business channel, ABNI. He entered 24x7 television news when TV18 launched CNBC TV18, India's first business channel. In 2005 he went back to general news with the launch of CNN-IBN.

Tewari has over two decades of experience in journalism across reporting, desk, news production and special events coverage. Prior to Network18, he has had stints with TV Today Network, The Times of India and The Pioneer.
