sab-tv-logoSAB TV has launched two new silent comedies – 'Chintu aur Pintu' and season 3 of 'Gutur Gu'. Both these shows have had a successful run in their earlier seasons and attracted interest from audiences across the country. While 'Gutur Gu' is back with the same cast as its first season, 'Chintu aur Pintu' has a new character Pintu, Chintu's son. 'Gutur Gu' will air at 7 PM, while 'Chintu aur Pintu' will air at 7:30 PM, on Saturdays and Sundays.

In the third season, 'Gutur Gu' features its original cast of Bhavna Balsavar, Kunal Kumar, Sheetal Maulik and K K Goswami. It is a unique silent comic series based on a character called Balu - a simple, innocent and hyper-enthusiastic character who consistently finds his way into misadventures in his otherwise dull and routine life. Balu somehow succeeds in turning mundane situations into indigenous adventures. He lives with his family comprising his wife Smita, parents and his cook Pappu Maharaj. The show will be a slapstick comedy and have myriad twists and turns in its storytelling.

'Chintu aur Pintu' is a silent comedy which captures the eventful life of Chintu. He is a lively young man who lives in a small town in India. Chintu is emotionally attached to a few things in life that are his coat, bicycle, his wife Pinky and son Pintu. Pintu has the same mannerisms as his father. The show will take viewers through different situations in their travels that will make for a laugh riot.

Anooj Kapoor, Senior EVP & Business Head, SAB TV, said, “SAB TV was the first and only channel to successfully produce silent comedies in India. Both, 'Gutur Gu' and the 'Chintu' series have been immensely popular amongst our audiences. Therefore, we are glad to get them back on the channel. These shows will make weekends more enjoyable for Indian families. Our association with Fireworks and Deepti Bhatnagar Productions has been very fruitful; we look forward to another successful season with them.”
