EMERGE

Emerge, the music property that cuts across barriers of conventional music, is back with the second edition. The property gets bigger and better this time, with an eclectic mix of talented international and local artists, photography, modern art and much more.

Its multi-dimensional experience will comprise installations and stalls that will engage audiences with different forms of art before they put on their dancing shoes. Emerge will provide a platform for young Indian artists to showcase their work and reach out to a wide plethora of tastes and aesthetic inclinations.

Last year, Emerge brought talented artists such as Jeremy Loops, Dinner and a Suit and others who enthralled music aficionados across major cities across India. This year, in a bid to offer a more holistic experience, Emerge will expand and change the face of live entertainment with a unique blend of multi-genre music and various art forms.

Conceptualised by Live Viacom18, in association with Vh1 India, and in partnership with Bluefrog, the second edition will see talented artists such as DJ Dismantle, Go Go Berlin, These Reigning Days, Thomas Dybdahl and Popface from Norway among others, bringing their unique take on music to India.

Jaideep Singh, Sr. VP and Business Head – INS, Viacom18, said, “At Live Viacom18, we always aim at going beyond traditional norms and experiment in the music and entertainment space. By blending music and art, some of the most creative forms of expression, we hope to envision a new experience for the creative soul. We received a positive response last year and are certain that this year will be even more exceptional.”

Simran Mulchandani, MD, Bluefrog , said, “Bluefrog has long been at the forefront of pushing an urban culture movement by marrying music with interesting forms of street art, photography, dance, graffiti art and workshops. The Emerge partnership is the perfect platform to further our efforts in this and we look forward to hosting many such events which will not only bring the musical stylings of quality international artists to Indian shores, but also create a 360 degree urban cultural experience.”

Kicking off the revamped Emerge, DJ Dismantle will perform in Mumbai, Pune and Delhi on 18th, 19th and 20th September, respectively. Anant Ahuja, New Delhi-based graphic designer, will showcase his work at the Delhi gig, while visual artist Rohan Dahiya along with designer Mudit Ganguly will exhibit their art in Mumbai and Pune.

emerge has tied-up with History TV18 and Big Cinemas to promote the property on air and in-cinema.
