clio-logoMcCann Mumbai and JWT India have made India proud at the CLIO Awards 2014. BBDO India, Havas Worldwide and Leo Burnett came close to a metal with one Shortlist each.

McCann Mumbai performed exceptionally well with 7 Silver and 6 Bronze metals across Out of Home, Print and Print Technique categories. The campaigns which won the Silver awards are 'Tangerine', 'William Shakespeare' and 'Author Headphones' (Print). The agency won Bronze awards for its 'Mango', 'Author Headphones' (Out of Home), and the 'Mark Twain' and 'Oscar Wilde' campaigns.

Prasoon Joshi, President, South Asia, McCann Worldgroup and CEO, McCann Worldgroup India, said, “When simple and pure ideas with nuanced execution win, it always delights me, especially the Penguin audio books campaign is a sheer joy to be associated with. JWT India won 4 Silver and 1 Bronze in the following four categories – Digital & Social, Film Technique, Film and Clio Music Film – for its campaign 'Make Every Yard Count' for Nike Cricket.

BBDO India, Havas Worldwide and Leo Burnett India missed out on metals from the one Shortlist each had. In the category of Public Relation, BBDO India got shortlisted for the 'Soldier for Women' campaign for Gillette and Havas Worldwide got shortlisted for the 'No Child Brides' campaign for Child Survival India. In the category of Design, Leo Burnett got shortlisted for the campaign 'Good Paper Project'.

2014 marks the 55th anniversary of the CLIO Awards, which is known for honouring international excellence in advertising, design, digital and communication.
