Big FM strengthens #1 position in Mumbai

Continues to be on top of the game for six consecutive months with highest share of listenership and some of the most heard shows in the country

Big_FMRiding on its retro formula, 92.7 Big FM has continued to be the most listened radio station in Mumbai in the last two quarters – March-May 2014 and June-August 2014.

According to RAM reports, Big FM has consistently been on top of the game with a 16.6 per cent overall listenership share in March-May 2014 over the No. 2 player which had 15.1 per cent share of listenership. Consecutively, in June-August 2014, the radio station strengthened its share to 17.1 per cent compared to 14.4 per cent of the next player, according to a press statement from the radio station.

Specialising in evergreen classics, the network displays a penchant for sweeping melodies and enticing build-ups, making it a preferred music destination in the country's entertainment capital.

Big FM Mumbai's 'Breakfast Show' with RJ Siddharth and 'Afternoon Show' with RJ Rani are the number one shows in their respective time bands. Hosted by Annu Kapoor, 'Suhaana Safar' completed over 200 episodes of taking listeners back in time and has grown the entire radio listenership base, introducing new audiences to the category. Scriptwriter and ex-journalist Neelesh Misra's widely successful radio storytelling show in the late night slot, 'Yaadon ka Idiot Box', is already in its successful fourth season. Additionally, with campaigns like the seventh Big Green Ganesha and Radio Ki Pehli Picture, 92.7 Big FM has strengthened its position at the top in Mumbai.

With its pioneering and iconic shows, Big FM has also won several awards and accolades this year for content and creativity.
