ad-club-bangaloreThe Advertising Club Bangalore, a communication professionals' body that confers annual awards for excellence in Communication and Media, has announced this year's edition of the Big Bang Awards to be on September 19, at The Ritz Carlton Hotel, Bangalore. TV channel Colors, Image Library, Radio City, Ritz Carlton and Jagdish Advertising have come on board as partners for the awards. The event is being conceptualised and managed by DNA Networks.

The Advertising Club Bangalore has received a record number of 956 entries this year from Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Chennai, Kochi, Trivandrum, Ahmedabad and Pune. Malavika Harita, President, The Advertising Club Bangalore, said, “We have received good number of entries almost across all categories. Digital advertising entries are on the rise, in keeping with the general trend in advertising.”

Arvind Kumar, Executive Director of The Advertising Club Bangalore, said, “A unique thing that is being added to the awards night this year is a panel discussion on the topic - 'Online Killed the Offline Star – True or False'. The panellists include names such as Raj Nayak, CEO, Colors and Punitha Arumugam from Google India.”

“The Ad Club has roped in close to 40 judges, and each entry in the Big Bang Awards is being judged by a group of three judges who are experts in their field of communication, to ensure there is fairness in the judging process,” Kumar added.
