TLC presents a brand new series, ‘90 Day Fiancé’, that offers a never-before-seen look into the world of international dating and matrimony. Using a unique 90-day fiancé visa, the K-1 visa, four women will travel to the US to live with their overseas fiancés for the first time. The couples must marry before their visas expire in 90 days, or the visiting fiancées have to return home. The show will premiere on July 9 and will air every Wednesday at 10 PM.
The women will have to overcome language barriers, culture shock and skeptical friends and family, all with a clock that starts the moment they step foot in US. Rolling the dice on a cross-border romance, the series will discover whether these foreign brides-to-be can find their happily ever after in America.
Rahul Johri, Executive VP and General Manager-South Asia and Head of Revenue, Pan- Regional Ad Sales & Southeast Asia, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, said, “TLC continues to expand the lifestyle definition and bring exciting series. 90 Day Fiancé is an interesting series that will bring alive love, drama and anxiety that goes into choosing a life partner all in 90 days.”
The show will follow the lives of four engaged couples. The four women in the series are from Colombia, Brazil, Russia and the Philippines. The series exposes the couple’s dynamic, their trust, their fears and insecurities, and puts their relationship to the ultimate test to see if love truly can conquer all and triumph over the difficulties of a new culture, a new lifestyle and, most importantly, a new person; all within the 90-day deadline imposed on them by Immigration.
The stakes are incredibly high as these couples will be forced to make a life-altering decision: get married or send their international partner home.
