SBI Life's Chandramohan Mehra has put in his papers and is likely to join an entertainment company in two weeks. Mehra, Country Head - Emerging Business, for SBI Life Insurance, was elevated to his present role September last year.

Though Mehra could not be contacted, the market grapevine has it that he may be joining Multi Screen Media (MSM) as Head of Marketing for SAB TV. Incidentally, SAB TV's Senior Vice-president, Harjeet Chhabra, left the organisation in April this year to join Adlabs Imagica.

Mehra has been behind some of the most popular campaigns for SBI Life in the last eight years including 'First-of-its kind Customer Education Programme', 'Future Guaranteed', 'Old Boy Cricket' and 'Jab Hum Honge Saath Saale Ke'.

Mehra spearheaded the creation of online business and cross sell vertical at SBI Life. The new business premium generated through online vertical grew rapidly to fivefold, with SBI Life gaining a lead position in digital business in recent months.

Mehra has earlier worked at Kotak and FCB Ulka where hw managed the HDFC Bank and Tata Motors brands. He was adjudged 'Young Achiever' by CMO Asia Award, Singapore 2010 for excellence in branding and marketing.
