The International News Media Association (INMA) Awards were presented at the concluding dinner of the 84th Annual INMA World Congress at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco before nearly 300 media executives. Thirty of the worldâ€™s best news media sales and marketing initiatives were rewarded Tuesday, May 13, by INMA.
One of six newspapers worldwide, Dainik Jagran was the only India newspaper to win 2 first place awards. The other 5 papers were Aftenposten, mX, The New York Times, South China Morning Post, and VG.
Dainik Jagran won first place awards for â€˜Best Idea to Grow Single Copy Salesâ€™ for its special Mahakumbh DJ Edition project and â€˜Best Idea to Encourage Print Readership or Engagementâ€™ for its Yuva Sampadak Project.
The daily bagged a second place in the category â€˜Best Idea to Grow Advertising Sales or Retain Advertising Clientsâ€™ for Retail Guru.
Founded in 1935, the INMA Awards competition is the news media industryâ€™s premier barometer for marketing and sales excellence designed to grow audience, revenue, and brand across platforms.
Overall, 30 first place awards in 15 categories across two audience groups were presented to 24 media companies. The competition garnered 560 entries from 149 market-leading news media companies in 37 countries.
