Partha Dey to drive programming at Big Magic

He moves from Mahuaa Media where he was VP – Network, Creatives and Operation

Regional channel Big Magic Bihar & Jharkhand has appointed Partha Dey as Creative and Programming Head. Dey will spearhead the programming mandate for the channel and will be responsible for building on consumer insights to create robust content. Additionally, he will assume the responsibility of designing the non-fiction content for Big Magic (national channel). He will report to Lavneesh Gupta, COO, Television Business, Reliance Broadcast Network.

A documentary filmmaker by profession, Dey has a distinguished career in broadcast media having produced and directed documentaries, features and programming software for various agencies such as the Indian Air force, ARC RAW, IGNCA, OHM-Holland and Doordarshan.

With over 17 years of experience as Producer, Director and Creative Director across organisations, Dey brings immense value and experience to the channel. He joins the company after an enriching six plus year stint at Mahuaa Media. As Vice President – Network, Creatives and Operation at Mahuaa TV, Dey was instrumental in planning, designing and launching the three channels Pragya, Mahuaa and Mahuaa Bangla.
