Cheil India’s latest television commercial for Samsung’s Galaxy Grand 2 raises the bar to live the grand life – with a device with which one can ‘Make the everyday Grand!’ The TVC went on air on January 29, 2014.

When Samsung’s Galaxy Grand was launched last year it was about the promise of ‘The Grand Life’ and was a huge success in the mid-range smartphone segment. Its successor, the Galaxy Grand 2, has been developed with some fantastic features and looks, many of which were unique to flagship models so far. Having spoken about the Grand Life, the communication task at hand was not simply how to launch the new Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 in the market, but how to effectively build on the lineage of its predecessor, differentiate it from the competition and position it in a unique space.

The Galaxy Grand 2 takes the user to a new high with its top of the line features allowing the user the liberty to create wow moments every day, thus making everyday ‘grand’. It is all about using this phone and ones imagination not having to wait for that one big moment to happen in life.

It celebrates life and demonstrates a special bond and caring attitude of an older brother towards his younger sibling by taking him out into the desert for his school project. The ordinary moment in class turns extraordinary for the younger sibling thus posing the obvious question: Does it take so little to make the everyday grand?
