New York Festivals World's Best Advertising has announced that Rance Crain will serve as Moderator for New York Festivals 2014 Executive Jury's live judging sessions in New York City from April 25-30, 2014. As Executive Jury Moderator, Crain will guide the proceedings of the world's largest gathering of worldwide chief creative officers ever to judge an advertising competition.

Crain, president and editorial director of Crain Communications Inc, is one of business journalism's most accomplished executives. He is editor-in-chief of Advertising Age, Crain's Chicago Business, and Crain's New York Business as well as many other publications, and he founded four of the company's influential titles—Pensions & Investments, Crain's Chicago Business, Crain's New York Business and Electronic Media (now published as tvweek.com). Crain was inducted into The American Advertising Federation Advertising Hall of Fame, and the Direct Marketing Hall of Fame.

As president of one of the world's most respected media companies, Crain has observed the advertising industry for more than four decades. His reputation as an advocate for advertising ethics, along with his broad understanding of brand building and the ad business make him the ultimate moderator to guide the 2014 Executive Jury, said Michael O'Rourke, President, New York Festivals.

As jury moderator, Crain will lead the Executive Jury, a “dream team” of 30 elite worldwide chief creative officers and executive creative directors, through five intense days of judging. This creative brain trust will sit together on one panel and evaluate the shortlisted entries selected by 400 members on the New York Festivals online GrandJury, using NYF's revolutionary patent pending matrix scoring system to select the World's Best Advertising award-winners across all mediums and categories. The combination of the Executive Jury and Grand Jury is the largest advertising jury ever assembled.

The 2014 New York Show events will take place on May 1 and will feature creative panel discussions, keynote speakers, networking events, the awards ceremony, and an after-party to honour the winners. All New York Show events will be held at the world famous New York Public Library's Beaux-Arts landmark Stephen A Schwarzman building located at 455 Fifth Avenue in New York City.

Since 1957, NYF has received entries from over 100 countries in all media in the following 15 competitions:  Avant-Garde, Branded Entertainment, Collateral & Direct, Creative Effectiveness, Design, Digital, Film & Film Craft, Integrated, Outdoor, Print, Public Relations, Public Service, Radio, and Student.

The 2014 competition Entry Deadline extension is February 14, 2014.
